Seniors, you can get a head start on your FAFSA form by downloading the worksheet. Fill out the worksheet and then after the first of the year you can fill out the FAFSA online using the worksheet. New Scholarship opportunities:
Marian Vaatveit Memorial Scholarship Award by the PEO Chapter NS: This scholarship is open to women for educational aid for study at College. They must be a resident of Carroll County. Any relative of a Chapter NS PEO member is ineligible to apply. Please see Mr. Orlano for applications. Application deadline is March 30th 2012.
Carroll Agricultural Scholarship Fund INC: Scholarships are offered to students who wish to major in an agriculture field. Scholarship forms are in Mr. Orlano's office. Deadline is March 26th 2012.
Carroll County Soil and Water District: This scholarship is offered to two students living in Carroll County who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of agriculture or natural resources.. Please go to www.cdiowa.org/education.html for details. Application deadline is March 2, 2012.
Greene County Soil and Water District: This scholarship is offered to students in Greene County who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of agriculture or natural resources. Please go to www.cdiowa.org/education.html for details. Application deadline is March 2, 2012.
Guthrie County Soil and Water District: This scholarship is offered to students in Gurthrie County who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of agriculture or natural resources. Please go to www.cdiowa.org/education.html for details. Application deadline is March 2, 2012.
St. Anthony Regional Hospital Scholarships: These scholarships are available to students who are pursuing a profession in a healthcare-related field. Please see Mr. Orlano for applications. Application deadline is March 23, 2012.
Guthrie County Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship: Application is now available in Mr. Orlano's office. Students who intent to pursue a medical or health related profession and have a grade point ave. of 3.0. Deadline is the third Friday of April.
Guthrie County Rural Electric Cooperative: Students who are interested in the field of business, electronic technology, electric engineering, agriculture engineering or power line programs. Applications are available in Mr. Orlano's office. Deadline is April 13th 2012.
The Robert D. Blue scholarship is made possible by the Iowa Centennial Memorial Foundation. Any Iowa student who plans to attend an Iowa college or university is eligible for this award. Applicants are expected to demonstrate literary and scholastic ability; exhibit qualities of truth, courage, and fellowship; and display moral force of character. The deadline for submission is May 10, 2012. The application is now available online at www.rdblue.org
Governor Terry E. Branstad Iowa State Fair Scholarship: will be accepted from January 1 through March 1. Students must complete both the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Iowa Financial Aid Application within this timeframe to be considered for funding. Buena Vista Founders Award:
Buena Vista Founders Award is available to students who wish to attend BVU this coming fall. Students must have a 2.75 GPA and visit the campus before February 15, 2012. Applications will be given on the campus visit.
Seniors Scholarship Opportunities:
BK Scholars program: Burger King is offering scholarships for Senors who are employees and children of Burger King. Employees are eligible to apply at https://www.haveityourwayfoundation.org/
U.S. Bank Scholarship Program: This program is open to high school seniors and college undergraduates, and no essays. $1,000.00 in scholarships awarded. Please go to http://www.usbank.com/scholarship for applications.
KFC Colonel's Scholarship: High School seniors who have a financial need and have an entrepreneurial spirit can be awarded $20,000 for tuition. To qualify you must have a GPA of 2.75, Enroll in a public college or university within the their state of legal residence, be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship Opportunity for Iowa National Guard Families
The INGOAux (Iowa National Guard Officers Auxiliary) is pleased to announce that the 2012 scholarship application is now available.
If you are the child of an Iowa National Guard member that is currently serving or retired, will be graduating from high school this spring, and will be attending a college or university in the state of Iowa you may be eligible to apply for this $1,000.00 scholarship. Laymon Hicks Scholarship:
