The people in our play were the narrator: Jordan, Queen: Elsa, Page: Christian, Knight 1: Brandon, Knight 2: Shaun and Knight 3: Alex. The play was about a queen trying to send a message through the forest to the townspeople. So all the knights take their turns going through the forest, but no one could get through the Yellow Figure Forest. All this time the Page was sending the wrong Knight. The narrator kept counting the days when a Knight was not back. The Queen was so mad that she sent her page to go through the Yellow Finger Forest. Next day the townspeople were happily shouting because they get the message. The page is back and brings all the Knights back. The Queen took a mean look at them. Then the Page said, "Let the Pages do the walking through the Yellow Figures!" |

Dr. Ball one of the main characters slays the dragon in this play. The name of the play is called St. George and the Dragon. I was Dr. Ball in the play who was a wizard who uses pills. Dr. Ball also kills the dragon in this play. Brayton who plays the dragon in the play, had to pretend to be on a bicycle and I finished him off with a giant pill. Blumderlore was going to fight me for mortal life. Little Man Jack was his minion in this play. The play helped the peasants get into the feast. And when the King said, "You Mummers (actors) can stay at the feast and Little Man Jack (Dustin) said, "Three Cheers for the King!" |

The Medieval Feast was a great learning experience for the sixth grade class. Each of us students had to keep up with our studies, while we had to learn and practice all of our lines. Each student was responsible for learning about and making a "Coat of Arms" or a Balyon. We had to learn about our family background, choose colors for their meanings, design shield and heraldry to represent who you are. All students took a series of three tests on the medieval heraldry. The topics were colors, Marks of Cadency, and an overall test with the Coat of Arms. If you were to get 100% on all three tests you would be a master of heraldry. I hope from this start summary of our studies you can see that it all wasn't fun and game is was mostly hard work and dedication by the students and teachers. |

Our parents played a role by coming to the 2008 Medieval Feast. They looked funny in their costumes when they did the Parade of Parents. The brought or made good food for the feast. It was nice for them to bring us on Saturdays and stay after school to work on heraldry. They came to make trenchers and helped decorate the Great Hall. They helped with good ideas for our heraldry. We want to thank all our parents for all their help. |
