CRB Cares

During the month of February, the PK-12 students showed how much “CR-B Cares” by donating items to be used in care packages for troop overseas. The goal was to send 14 packages to troops who are in need of specific items and who otherwise may not get mail from friends or family.
On February 28, the PK-6th grade students gathered at Deal Elementary to assemble packages and write letters. Our goal was met by being able to assemble and send 14 care packages. The students also wrote fantastic letters of support to the men and women who are serving our country.
The support shown by the students and community members of Coon Rapids and Bayard was very much appreciated. There are actually lots of items left over from this project and all of the items are still going to be used for care packages. If you are interested in donating towards the postage of a care package, please contact Cory Behrens at Deal Elementary. A big thank you also goes out to Gurney Parker Post # 357 for their donation to pay for the shipping of the 14 boxes!
