For over five years now we at CR-B have been very privileged to have a cheerleading sponsor and a number of girls who have put in a lot of time and effort to produce squads of cheerleaders who go above and beyond the normal high school cheering. The sport of cheerleading has gone from standing and cheering on the sidelines to acrobatic stunts, jumps, flips and dance routines. This year another squad of cheerleaders are ready to compete at the state level.
On Saturday, November 5th the cheerleaders will be competing at the Vet's Auditorium in Des Moines. The squad consists of five seniors: Tedde Madison, Lydia Grote, Emily Tuel, Alisa Carstens, Melanie Davis and two sophomores: Danielle Boeke and Kelsey Moran. The CR-B cheerleading sponsor is Donna Tuel.
The first competition should be around 10:30 in the "8 and Under" division. The "8 and Under" division have eight or less members in their squads. The routine will be a combination of dance, stunts and cheers. Later in the day the seniors will compete in the "Stunt Group" category. The "Stunt Group" is stunting only and is an open division meaning that the girls will compete against schools of all sizes.
The squad invites you to come and be a part of this exciting competition and cheer them on!
