K.2.1   Discover that magnets attract and repel each other and other kinds of materials

                   K.2.2   Discover the different states of water

K.2.3  Discover that materials have properties that cause them to sink or float in water         

3.  Students will understand and apply life science concepts

                   K.3.1  Understand animal behavior

K.3.2  Knows that organisms have basic needs such as shelter, food, water, air, and space

K.3.3  Understands that people cause changes in the environment that are either helpful or harmful

K.3.4  Understands the life cycles and stages of insects

K.3.5  Understands the life cycles and stages of plant growth

4.  Students will understand and apply earth and space science concepts

                   K.4.1  Recognizes that weather changes daily and seasonally

K.4.2  Recognize that with seasonal changes, many changes occur

5.  Students will understand and apply science and technology

6.  Students will understand and act upon personal and social perspectives relating to science

K.6.1  Learn to be responsible for their own health when making decisions about substances such as:  tobacco, alcohol, drugs, etc.
