Content

Students will explore the cultures of Asia and the Far East, Central Europe, and our closest European connections of France, Spain, and the U.K.

Students will receive an introduction to countries and their regions. Regions of the countries will be explored politically and physically using various activities. Facts about special geographical points of interest will be presented.

Students will receive an introduction to historical figures that shaped the world. They will gain a working knowledge of explorers and pioneers in history that influenced the world through exploration and discovery.

Students will explore fascinating facts about famous people, places, and events that have shaped our country. They will research important historical events and gain an understanding of how these events affect our way of life.

They will explore the movement of people throughout a region.

They will compare lifestyles of men and women of various countries and continents.

Students will learn the names and facts about early explorers, discoverers, and politicians.

They will understand the importance of these individuals and how their contributions lead to the development of the world we know today.

They will research information, interpret facts, and express opinions.

They will evaluate information they find.

They will learn that both men and women made important contributions to the world.
